Before going somewhere new...a few last stories

Well, this will be my last blog for awhile as we are dropping off the face of the earth. I thought I would recount some stories of Annie that I forgot to tell you. Annie also went back and played some more with the new friend she made last weekend. She was "too scared" of the slide, swing, and trampoline, but I made her do all of it anyway. She smiled all the way down the slide, she didn't want to get off the swing, and she got off the trampoline and said "fun," so I think it was okay that I made her do it. The sand box was still her favorite. She cried when she had to leave Sam (her new friend).

Here are a couple more fun stories:

Potty training has been going well, in fact she is quite proud everytime she uses the potty. However, she's not quite potty trained yet. A couple days ago she looked in her diaper looked up at us and said, "I did it!!" We laughed and said, "Annie, you were supposed to use the potty." She looked down again and said, "Oopsie."

Annie is scared silly of our dogs, but she finally found something she liked about them when I let her help me feed them one night. The next day, she kept asking me to "feed dogs," but I kept telling her they weren't hungery yet. Annie thought differently. When we weren't watching (I know, I know, this was our mistake) she decided to feed them by herself. She fed them a lot, but not much made it into the dog's bowls. It was quite a mess. My mom was the one who saw it first. When I came down with her later, she looked at it and said "Oooh, messy." I said, "Who made that mess?" She responded, "Mmmm, lets see. ME!!!!!"

I was playing with her and she made up a game with me. She would go on one side of a door and I would be on the other and she would open and close the door and shout something different every time she did. It went something like this: "Eekaboo, Hello, Hi there, Kelsey Jo, I love you," and then she ran off onto my bed laughing with me in close pursuit.

Annie also put a DVD in our VHS player. It took me awhile to figure out why it wasn't working.

Here are some pictures of our last day with Annie. We miss her already, but know she is in capable and loving hands.

Saying goodbye to bear.
